Today we have an excerpt from "Lights On Water" by Will Hopkins.
But first check out his blurb!
Harry Bynde needs a miracle. He's got a dead end job, a hopeless deadline and a busted-down convertible stuck in the sand of East Ocean View. Harry might not get his miracle tonight, but maybe a mystery will do.
Wow!!
Now read the excerpt!
Harry turned into the beat-down East Beach settlement of shotgun one-stories, by-the-week motels, and a couple of working streetlights. He'd been back in here once before for some reason he couldn't place. A sign indicated his location --25th Bay and Pleasant. A block up, the ragged tar and concrete t-boned a sand path paralleling the shore dunes. He stayed on the gas and sailed through, slewing and plowing sand for maybe fifty feet until the Mercury was axle-deep and out of luck.
