Boneyard Excerpt

Today we are releasing an excerpt of "Boneyard" by Patrick Clark.

But first why not read the blurb?

Heather Kroft has an unfortunate discovery during the landscaping of her new East Beach home so she hires freshly licensed P.I. Cole Draper to unearth the story behind her discovery.  Clues from the past lead Draper to a surprising answer in NYC’s elite entertainment community.

Wow!

Now check out the excerpt!

Outside, the landscaping crew was planting a row of Feather Reed Grass with a Dwarf Magnolia tree at each end, directly in front of the beach dune.  This would serve to identify the property line as well as stem the encroachment of beach sand into the Kroft’s small backyard.
Heather leaned back on the kitchen island that faced the panoramic view and surveyed the scene.  She admired the shirtless, muscular young man on the landscaping crew.  So what if you just read Fifty Shades of Grey, you can’t think like that!
She pulled her blonde hair back and placed a band around her ponytail, then rested her chin in her cupped hand, her smile hidden behind her fingers bent at the knuckle under her nose.  She felt her blue eyes moisten, just a little.
Yes.  Everything is perfect.

  1. Good beginning. I really want to know about that smile hidden behind her fingers.

  2. Yikes...you know with a comment like "everything is perfect" that something is bound to go terribly wrong! You've got me intrigued, Patrick Clark!
